When I ask the same to Lalit, he says, “I wanted someone who understands me and my family, and I got that person. Even before building a strong bond with me, she had built a great rapport with my family, which I found very impressive. She adapted herself so easily, which made me feel that I am so lucky to have found someone who not only loves me but also my family.” That’s awesome!

How did it all start? I ask, to which Priya responds, “It all started with a phone call. We connected to each other really well. Our thoughts matched and we found a lot of similarities. After speaking to each other for a month on phone calls, we decided to meet and that one meeting changed everything.”

I then ask Lalit, if there is any special memory which you want to relive, and why? Lalit with full of enthusiasm says, “Our first meeting in Raipur is one of the most memorable ones. I was traveling from Bangalore to Raipur to meet a girl whom I was fond of. Little did I know that she was going to be the love of my life. She had booked a room for me to stay. I reached the hotel in the morning and the moment I opened the door, I found that the room was decorated so beautifully with roses on the bed and there were a few gifts along with a hand written note by her. The gifts were so lovely. It showed that she had understood me well.” That is so amazing! Priya jumps into the conversation, “Lalit is no less when it comes to surprising me. He had planned for an amazing date. He took me to Ghatarani waterfalls and then we went for a lunch date. Like a gentleman he pulled out a chair for me and asked me to sit. He also gifted me a watch, which is still my favourite. We had endless conversations about so many things. I found him to be loyal, understanding and similar to me. From then it was never looking back for us.” Cute isn’t it?

On asking about their wedding, Priya had one of the most memorable moments to share with us. She says, “Our wedding was a grand affair. Our parents had planned for an amazing surprise. They had arranged for a rotating stage on which we had our varmala ceremony. The background was our pictures from the day we met till our marriage with fireworks and flower shower. We felt like it was a dream wedding and our parents made it so special for us. We both were on top of the world and that is something which I will always cherish for the rest of my life.” How cute!

I ask Priya, if she had to give one advice to the people who are looking out for their life partner. what will it be? She says, “A lot of people are registering themselves on the online portal for marriage. Just be sure before you take any decision. Get into marital life with a positive mindset which helps you understand your spouse more”
